Winding Through

$268.00

As a mountain lover, I find it amazing how distinctive different mountains and ranges can look- as if each was carved by hand by a sculptor to be related yet unique. Whenever I need to paint from my soul, mountains are one of the most common subjects I am drawn to painting. This image is inspired by images of the Brooks Range, part of the Rocky Mountains in Alaska. I believe this particular portion is in the Gate of the Arctic National Park. I learned the all the mountains in Bob Ross’ work were in his heart and mind from time he spent in the military in Alaska. It’s not hard to tell why he was so inspired to continually add mountains to his landscapes.

11 x 14 Original oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas, wired and ready to hang.
